Let’s face it… being an adult is pretty much horrible in comparison to the carefree days of being a kid. We have stupid adult things to do like cleaning the house, going to work, paying the bills, and the list goes on. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we have to be the adult and take charge before some young fella kills himself by doing something stupid. In the pursuit of a happy life, it is vital that you take, at least some time, every day to embrace your childlike wonder.
As a species
The moment we are born we have some preprogrammed things that happen with us. Our bodily functions go about their thing without conscious thought on our part such as:- Breathing
- Sleeping
- Digestive system functions on its own
- The hunger response
- and many more
The grind
Losing our childlike wonder is a thing that just creeps up on us. We need to get a job to afford to drink on the weekend with our buddies or to escape the family home by getting our own place or to afford the most adulty things in life. It is the norm to end up in some dead-end job that you hate, not by your own design but by the fact that money needs to continue flowing in. Very few people take the leap and do the kind of job that they really want to do or even open their own business. What usually happens when you come home from your terrible job? Maybe you will do some housework but for the majority of the time, you will just collapse on the sofa for several hours of mind destroying brainwashing in front of the TV. Very few people take the leap and do the kind of job that they really want to do. Share on XEmbrace the wonder
Instead of killing brain cells or becoming miserable in the dead-end job it is far better if you make the necessary changes that will ultimately improve your life. Easier said than done right? Some of the most successful people make it a habit of wondering about and question everything. They will make plenty of time for playing and enjoying an active life. On top of all this, they become really, really happy as a result. Do you remember when you were a kid, running around playing games all day? How happy were you than in comparison to now? Make it a habit of questioning everything, to play, to enjoy yourself and to leave your adult duties and miserableness behind. If you’re a regular reader of the site, please consider supporting my efforts so I can continue to deliver content.
